    Default PlayStation Vita: HENkaku

    #################################

    Possible!
    HENkaku works on firmware 3.55 - 3.73
Current version of OFFICIAL firmware - 3.73

    #################################

    • What is HENkaku?
      • HENkaku is the first ever homebrew enabler for PS Vita and PSTV. It is akin to jailbreaking your iPhone or rooting your Android device.
Homebrew are games and other software not officially approved. For example, VitaDoom is a port of the classic game DOOM and mGBA lets you play GameBoy Advanced ROMs. You can find more examples in the showcase.
Best of all, HENkaku is 100% free. No cost. No ads. No “donations”.

    • What is Ensō?
      • Ensō - A software hack that allows you to launch a hack into HENkaku when you turn on your console without the user's participation and without an Internet connection (permanent firmware, so-called "Nesletajka") ONLY 3.60 / 3.65.

    • What is h-encore(2)?
      • h-encore - A hack allowing temporary (before rebooting) hacking of HENkaku on a console with firmware 3.65 / 3.67 / 3.68

    • What is Trinity?

      • Trinity - Hack for firmware 3.69 / 3.70, h-encore analog in the work plan, not relevant due to h-encore2.

    • What is MemeKaku?
      • MemeKaku - Hack allowing HENkaku to be installed on a console with firmware 3.55 / 3.57

    • What does it take to set up a HENkaku burglary?

    1. PlayStation Vita with firmware 3.55 / 3.57 / 3.60 / 3.65 - 3.72
    2. Internet Connection
    3. PC (for 3.65+)
    4. Console account (for 3.65+) + password from the account, ACTIVATION is NOT required!
    5. Memory card:

    • For PlayStation Vita 1000 with firmware 3.60 - PlayStation Vita Memory Card OR SD2VITA + microSD adapter
    • For PlayStation Vita 1000 with firmware 3.61+ - PlayStation Vita memory card
    • For PlayStation Vita 2000 - memory card not required, there is built-in memory
    • For PlayStation TV - memory card not required, there is built-in memory

    • How to update the console firmware to version 3.60 / 3.65:

      • Update via QCMA (remember to uncheck "Ignore local file psp2-updatelist.xml on update folder" in QCMA settings)
      • Upgrade to version 3.60 / 3.65 / 3.68 via FinalHE
      • (May not work!) Upgrade to version 3.60 via HENkaku DNS
      • Upgrade to version 3.65

    • How to avoid accidentally updating your console:

      • Turn off auto-renewal:
        • Settings -> System -> AutoRun Setup
        • Uncheck the "Download update file for system software" box

      • Edit HENkaku DNS

    1. Settings => Network => Wi-Fi Settings
    2. Select the desired access point and enter the password (if required) after the console has connected to the network, click on the access point.
    3. Select "Advanced settings" from the access point menu.
    4. Then change "Automatically" to "Manually" in "DNS Settings" .
    5. In the column "Main DNS" enter - 212.47.229.76. (Attention, check the relevance of the address in the section Simple Instructions, it may change!!!).
    6. In the column "Additional DNS" leave empty and press "OK".
    7. Reboot the console.

    • How to connect the console to a PC via QCMA without updating the firmware:

    On a PC:

Tick the Offline Mode checkbox on the Other tab in QCMA settings to also set Use this version for updates to FW 0.00 (Always up-to-date), i.e. something like that should happen:
    [X] Offline Mode
    [ ] Skip metadata
    [ ] Disable USB monitoring
    [ ] Disable Wi-Fi monitoring
    [ ] Skip photo scanning
    [ ] Skip video scanning
    [ ] Skip music scanning
    [ ] Automatic database refresh
[ ] Ignore local file psp2-updatelist.xml on update folder
    CMA protocol - Latest
Use this version for - FW 0.00 (Always up-to-date)
After the above steps, restart QCMA

    On the console:

    Disconnect cable
    Edit HENkaku DNS
    (Not necessary) Activate flight mode
    Reboot the console
